FIRST LEADERSHIP SCHOOL

"Behold I am doing a new thing," says the Lord. The air was filled with energy on Saturday, March 20, at Derita Presbyterian Church as 160 people gathered from ten Presbytery of Charlotte churches. This first Leadership School of a year-long Transformation Pilot Project both inspired and equipped lay leaders to reach their communities with the Good News. The full-day agenda included a call to be disciple-makers first and foremost in our churches. Bob Meyer, guest consultant, then gave us practical information on how to form relationships within the community through first, second and third dates. Churches designed their outreach programs and shared their results. Bill Youmans led a segment on Protecting the Risk Takers. The Transformation Pilot Project is being led by Bill Youmans with Bob Meyer serving as Content Expert, Mentor and Trainer. The project provides holistic support for churches wishing to rediscover the call to make disciples.
