Local Volunteer Opportunities

Charlotte Rescue Mission		This organization strives to meet the needs of the mind, body, and soul of those battling against addiction and homelessness in an effort to break the cycle of destructive behavior that is passed from generation to generation.
Crisis Assistance		This agency provides assistance and advocacy for people in financial crisis. Volunteers are needed to fulfill needs in various areas. Opportunities are available for adults, teenagers, and sometimes younger children.
Habitat for Humanity, Charlotte		This organization was founded as a Christian ministry, bringing together people from all walks of life to develop community with people in need by building and renovating homes. Volunteer opportunities are available in both construction and non-construction areas, and volunteers of almost all ages can be utilized.
Seigle Avenue Partners		This program provides caring supervision & instruction for children in the Seigle Avenue / Belmont community during out of school times. Opportunities are available for mentors, tutors & classroom assistants, library helpers, and office support.
Society of St. Andrew		This organization operates a statewide, volunteer-driven Gleaning Network in North Carolina that coordinates with local farmers, thousands of volunteers, and food providing agencies.
