Crisis Assistance Needs Your Assistance The Home Essentials clothing and household goods store at Crisis Assistance Ministry has been blessed by a huge number of donations! They need lots of help getting these donations processed, sorted, and in our store for families who need them. You and your family can help! If you would like to schedule a large group, please contact Julia Reed at 704-371-3001, ext. 136, or jreed@crisisassistance.org. If you and your family would like to volunteer, or if it's just you, simply stop by and pitch in. Ask for the volunteer manager on duty and they will train you in a matter of minutes. The Home Essentials store is open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 8 am until 5 pm, Tuesdays from 8 am until 9 pm and the1st, 2nd and 3rd Saturdays of each month from 9 am until 1 pm. We are in need of the most help during the week from 8am-5pm. You are welcome to stay for as little or as long as you like - even if you can only stay for an hour, you will process enough clothing to help a family for a year. Thank you for your help!
Speakers Available – Need Still Great in Haiti:
Our Presbytery is organizing a coordinated effort to bring relief to our brothers and sisters in Bayonnais, a remote area of Haiti with particularly desperate need after recent hurricanes ripped through the area. One part of that effort is to create a "speakers bureau" of individuals who have personal knowledge and experience there. They are available to bring programs, pictures, and information to your congregation. Learn how you can most effectively channel your love and support to our hurting brothers and sisters in Haiti. To arrange a program, contact Debbie Wilkinson, 704-535-9999, ext 213, or Doug Wilson, 704-364-5059.
