PRESBYTERY-WIDE TRIVIA NIGHT (Sponsored by the Charlotte Youth Ministry Consortium)

Join us for the first presbytery-wide trivia night extravaganza. Sunday, February 12, 2017; 4:30 PM – Team check-in, 5:00 PM – Game Begins! A casual event and fundraiser to support the Charlotte Youth Ministry Consortium (CYMC) summer mission trips. People are invited to form a team of 8 – 10 people to play eight rounds of trivia. Prizes for first place and special recognition for the team that has the most fun and the lowest score will be awarded. Door prizes throughout the evening! Cost: $20 per player. Cost includes pizza, soft drinks, and bottled water for all players. Please feel free to bring appetizers for your table and show your team spirit. LIFE LINE SCREENING’ AT AMITY PC

FESTIVAL OF CHURCH MUSIC

The Festival of Church Music will take place on Sunday, February 26th at 7:00 pm at Myers Park Presbyterian Church. Twelve area churches (including Amity, Davidson College, First-Charlotte, Myers Park, and Sardis Presbyterian Churches) will present a concert of notable anthems and hymns, with organ and brass, under the direction of Dr. Amanda Quist of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, NJ. Also, participating will be the children’s choir, Young Voices of the Carolinas, under director Sandy Holland.

THE FIFTH ANNUAL TONY A BILES CLERGY CONVOCATION
The Spiritual Care and Education Department at Carolinas Healthcare System NorthEast, the Carolinas Healthcare Faith Community Health Ministry Program, and the NorthEast Foundation are proud to announce the 5th annual Tony Biles Clergy Convocation to be held on Thursday, March 2, 8:30 am – 3:00 pm at All Saints Episcopal Church in Concord, NC (525 Lake Concord Rd NE, Concord, NC 28025) on the topic Moral Injury: Supporting Those Dealing with the Invisible Wounds of Trauma. ELISABETH VON TRAPP 2017-2018 PRESBYTERIAN CONCERT TOUR
Elisabeth von Trapp would like to perform at your church. Elisabeth is the granddaughter of Maria and Baron von Trapp, whose story inspired The Sound of Music. Over the past several years she has brought her music to many dozens of Presbyterian, Episcopalian and Methodist churches throughout the eastern United States. Singing professionally since childhood, Elisabeth has enthralled audiences from European cathedrals to Washington D.C.’s National Cathedral, the Kennedy Center and hundreds of Performance Halls and churches across the United States. THERE IS NO FEE FOR THESE CONCERTS! Elisabeth’s compensation for these performances will be in the form of a donation, the offering plate will be passed during the performance and the audience will be asked to make a donation. Elisabeth will donate 10 % of the collection plate offering as well as 10% of all CD sales to the Host Church. See the brochure for details.
