GENERAL PRESBYTER AT NATIONAL CAPITAL PRESBYTERY
National Capital Presbytery comprises 108 churches in five counties in Virginia, five counties in Maryland and the District of Columbia, speaking eleven languages in worship on a Sunday. Spread across the Washington D.C. metro area, the National Capital Presbytery is a diverse tapestry of people, churches and relationships.
The General Presbyter (GP) is responsible for faithful and innovative leadership for the National Capital Presbytery (NCP) and will be a catalyst, connecting congregations with each other for mutual benefit and the greater good.
• The GP will provide vision, oversight, and communication to implement the stated mission of NCP. The GP will work to encourage and build up the work of NCP ‘s congregations and their witness to the greater Washington tri-state Area.
• The GP will serve as head of staff of the presbytery and as spokesperson of the Presbyterian Church (USA) in the geographical bounds of the presbytery. The GP is expected to perform all duties in the spirit of the shared mission purpose of the presbytery, its leaders, staff, and volunteers.
• The GP should effectively collaborate with others, including other entities within the PC(USA), to foster a cohesive and mutually supportive presbytery organization. As in all ministries on a presbytery level, the GP will continue to combine responsibility and authority with accountability.

TRANSITIONAL EXECUTIVE PRESBYTER/STATED CLERK
PROVIDENCE PRESBYTERY (Rock Hill, SC)
Providence Presbytery is seeking a personable, compassionate, articulate leader to be our Transitional Executive Presbyter/Stated Clerk. The ideal candidate will have a strong and mature Christian faith, which witnesses to the good news of Jesus Christ. Our TEP/SC should have a firm commitment to the PCUSA, along with a working knowledge of the polity of the PCUSA and its councils.

Communication with and among the churches of the presbytery is essential. Our TEP/SC should be fully committed to work with and respect the laity and clergy of diverse backgrounds, experiences and socioeconomic situations who make up our congregations. In the process of building relationships with and among the churches, the attributes of flexibility, resilience, sharing power and enabling the work of others, as well as a sense of perspective and humor, are important in our TEP/SC.

TEP/SC of Providence Presbytery should be a visible presence throughout the presbytery, who also communicates and connects with our surrounding communities, in order to foster ecumenical and missional ties in the wider world.

The Transitional Executive Presbyter/Stated Clerk will guide Providence Presbytery with sensitivity and care as we seek to remember and build on our past, to minister in the present, and to consider God’s call for our future. In serving as the continuing spiritual leader, chief administrator, and head of staff during this transitional period, our TEP/SC will supervise the continuation of our current missions and ministries, while preparing Providence Presbytery for the task of calling an Installed EP/SC.

As part of this preparation, the TEP/SC will need to take an active role in shepherding and supporting the presbytery as we continue to embrace our common vision and purpose. She/he will lead us through the enacting of our mission in a rapidly changing cultural context, with emphasis on staffing requirements, and budget concerns and priorities, all of which will impact the Providence Presbytery’s future work and ministries at both the local and global levels.    CLC System Link:

Memorial Presbyterian Church is seeking an Interim Pastor. The Interim Pastor will be responsible for moderating the Session and for providing pastoral leadership and administrative oversight of the church’s ministries, including worship, music, preaching, teaching, mission service, stewardship, and fellowship. He/she will work with the Session and Church staff to provide opportunities for members to engage in worship, discipleship and mission.
