2017 LEGACY AWARDS
The Outstanding Older Adult Award has been renamed the Legacy Award. We feel this name change captures the importance of the legacy of service to our churches that these members give for this and future generations.
The Leadership Development Ministry Team of the Presbytery of Charlotte invites your Session to nominate a person for the 2017 Legacy Award to be honored in May. Your nominee should be a person who actively lives out his/her faith in service to the church and community. The nomination form lists the criteria.
The purpose of the Legacy Award is to recognize an older adult, 70 years or older, who exemplifies positive images of aging personally and in the life of your congregation and community. Further, this nomination process offers an opportunity to the Presbytery to recognize older persons who, by their example, serve as role models to all generations of growing older with a sense of God’s grace. We encourage you to honor your nominee.
This nomination form is to be sent to the attention of the Leadership Development Committee at the Presbytery office by Monday, March 20th.
The award recipients will be invited with family and friends to a luncheon in their honor. This year there will be duplicate luncheons – you may choose the one that best serves your needs. NOTE: this selection is not final until approved by the committee. We will try our best to give you your first choice of location, but due to space constraints, you may be assigned your second choice. The luncheons will be held at:

PRESBYTERY OF CHARLOTTE’S PINTEREST PAGE
The Leadership Development Committee invites you to visit and follow the new Presbytery of Charlotte Pinterest page! Pinterest is a giant digital idea board. This page is a place where churches and individuals can post photos and descriptions of great things that are going on in your congregations. Or you could post something you have seen and aspire to do. You can also search the page for a variety of informational posts relating to church ministry. We hope that soon you will be able to find here everything from a mission project for children to craft ideas for VBS, to creative training for officers, to event decorations, to locations for retreat spaces and more. But it will take all of us pitching in to make this board a great resource. Search for us on Pinterest and join in the fun! https://www.pinterest.com/presbyteryofcha
