PRESBYTERY OF CHARLOTTE STAFF POSITIONS
MINISTRY AND COMMITTEE COORDINATOR (full-time)
The Presbytery of Charlotte (POC) is seeking a Ministry and Committee Coordinator (MCC) to serve as the operational and administrative contact for the presbytery. The MCC provides support for the work of presbytery commissions, committees, ministry teams, taskforces, and other assigned groups. Working closely with the General Presbyter, Stated Clerk, Communications Specialist, and POC leadership, the MCC schedules and staffs meetings, prepares and distributes materials, serves as Recording Clerk for Presbytery meetings, and maintains official records and archives. Additionally, the MCC manages minister, candidate, and church files, tracks contracts and grants, and serves as the primary point of contact for churches, ministers, and students under care. The position requires strong organizational, communication, writing, and interpersonal skills; discretion in handling confidential matters; proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace; and the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. The role also requires an active Christian faith, familiarity with or willingness to learn PC(USA) polity, and at least three years of administrative, executive-support, or nonprofit coordination experience. The position is a full-time, salaried, non-exempt position reporting to the General Presbyter with an annual salary range of $40,000–$65,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST FOR CHARLOTTE PRESBYTERY (part-time)
The Presbytery of Charlotte is seeking an independent professional for a 12-month renewable contract as a Communications Specialist to manage its comprehensive digital and visual presence. Operating as a 1099 independent contractor for approximately 10 hours per week, the specialist will serve as webmaster, coordinate email outreach, cultivate multi-platform social media campaigns, and design and deliver diverse creative assets. This remote-friendly role requires a skilled creator who can handle photography and video editing for local church events, maintain strict confidentiality regarding ecclesiastical matters, and quickly deliver polished public content that aligns with the Presbytery’s mission. The contract is valued at $15,000 annually ($1,250 monthly) with special project work billed additionally at a reference rate of $28.85 per hour.

PRESBYTERY OF CHARLOTTE STATED CLERK
(part-time/ 10-15 hrs per week)
The Stated Clerk is the chief ecclesiastical officer of the Presbytery and must be a Teaching or Ruling Elder in the PC(USA) who is comfortable working with the PC(USA) Constitution and polity, who can interpret and apply the Book of Order, and who can provide careful and wise guidance on matters of procedure and ecclesiastical responsibility.
