While the suburban area around us is changing, growing, and thriving, our membership is in decline, with seventy-four active members. We want to grow our congregation and make serving our community central to our mission as we seek to make our ministry relevant to our neighbors. INTERIM PASTOR AT SOUTHPORT PRESBYTERIAN CHURCH (Southport, NC in Coastal Carolina Presbytery)
The Interim Pastor is responsible for moderating the Session and for providing pastoral leadership. He/she will also be responsible for administrative oversight of the church’s ministries. This will involve partnering and empowering lay leaders in the following areas: worship, music, preaching, teaching, welcome/new member, finance/stewardship, fellowship, and congregational care. He/she will work with the Session, Deacons and Church staff to provide opportunities for members to engage in worship, discipleship, and mission.
